We seem to have – or should I say I have a Crinoline Lady obsession and I don’t care who knows it.

Ever since Giles came home with a teapot, matching tea cup and saucer and I found a brooch in one of the auction lots the chief finder (AKA) Grandad brought home I was hooked.

Now we have a whole cabinet in the dining room with a teaset including cake stands, jam containers, coffee pots and even a biscuit jar – the only items missing are egg cups.

We decided each morning and evening when we are all together we should use our China and not just look at it fondly through glass. Much to the delight of the teenagers an eclectic mix of China (the old the better) is brought out.

As for brooches well the collection has reached 11, they are displayed in the office and occasionimageally…

Our vintage online family on Facebook and Twitter have watched this growing obsession and even send through little treats to add to the collection – talk about pay-it-forward loveliness that lifts the spirits after a long day 🙂

So what’s your obsession of the Vintage kind and how can we help you?

Look for us on Facebook  The Vintage Cloud and The Jewellery Cloud.

Zoella and Vloggers are inspiring a new generation, IPads and IPhones give intrepid socialmedia explorers the means to create, share and publish ideas.

Our youngest old has embraced this and links to Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and even publishes her own blog which is fuelling her aspirations to be an Interior designer and possibly photographer in the future.

A year ago we published our last blog, numerous reasons but the mini cloud team want to try again. So bear with us whilst we get going. This time focusing on our brooch passion and our family.

We are having a go at a few social media platforms, we can be found on:

All of the above supporting GCSE business studies, a teenage and middle age interest in the social media world at large. A fascinating way to be able to explore different mediums and sell our preloved jewellery. Sales of our jewellery have now reached, Australia, The Falkland Islands, America and across the United Kingdom all without having to rent premises or become a stuffy old business (says Dad).

We are championing a “bring back the brooch campaign’ and try to post a different brooch each day and wear one with every (well nearly every outfit).

Our favourite of the week is pictured and was sold before the hour was out and is now finding its way to a new home as we type.

Watch put for more posts and let us know what you think.

Oh not to be an Elizabethan in Shakespere times.

Learning about toilets, even making a toilet they would have used is different
But makes me realise I enjoy life in 2013.

Since having Henry we have found all sorts of little walks.   Tonight’s 5 minutes from the house and into deep woods and bracken. Monday night ramble with the family a real treat.    https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Jewellery-Cloud/160517894095561Image
